Chief Sean Adkins and his wife Kim. David knows Chief from Iraq. His buddies rented a cute little cottage on base in Millington for his retirement. They had a gift giving/tell how you know chief kind of ceremony. He positively impacted a lot of people, and they were grateful for him.
The guy in the orange shirt is Todd Grangier and I knew him in Adak, he worked at the exchange with me, he is the one that David relieved from Iraq. Small world, huh? After all the "awards" then it was....story tellin time! Which went on till quite late...and I don't think they were done!!! Sounds like they all have a really good time!
Here is our rental car. It is some Mitsubishi something or another. It was fine. And IHOP, right next to our hotel. I.love.IHOP. I do. Wish I didn't. But I do.
We had never seen cotton growing before so David ran out to the cotton field on our way from the airport to our hotel to see how it grew. He picked me one so I could show the kids.
Jordan wanted to get his football number from last year (#25) but it was unavailable, so he got #13. I am feelin lucky. I think I like it :-)
Okay....back to the old Kentwood football team we know and love! Great game played last night, too bad David missed it. We beat Tahoma 24 to 17. Anth made some great tackles and blocks!
Frank's sister, Judy, who was only 45 years old, lost her battle with cancer yesterday morning. She fought with grace and humor. Our thoughts and prayers go out to their family.
See that boy with no number lookin all football player-ish listening to coach, standing next to the boy in the black t shirt. He has yellow on his cleats. That is Jordan at practice. Haven't gotten too many other pictures, it is hard when they are in practice jerseys and don't want their mommy taking pictures after practice....I'll continue to try.
