The gift...

This what Jordan chose to do instead of geocache!!! Assemble a fireplace, really??? Such a guy! For Christmas, Christi and Frank got a cool electric fireplace with storage on the sides. It was so big it had to be taken apart and brought upstairs. They have the perfect wall for it!

Frank, with his (non)help, although I'm sure he was just fine with that.

She fits perfectly

Assembled and ready to rock and roll. I'm sure many a nights will be spent in front of it!

Two Katie's leading the way

Katie, and her American girl doll...SURPRISE!!! Katie!!!! Led the way....this could be where the term the blind leading the blind came into effect....

Tromping through the bushes. Lucy May was not cooperative at all and drug me through everywhere....so we didn't continue to stay in the bushes. Instead, we took Katie otu to the park for her promised play at the last park while Gramoom and Auntie Chris unsuccessfully tried to find the cache. Good timing, the rain started coming right as we were leaving.

Wishing she were a good girl, with manners, and not so strong, so she could go in the woods too. Too bad.

By the ferry geocaching

This was the clue. We thought maybe Jordan had written the clue down wrong...supposed to be chickadee, but not. In fact, he did not. I like that geocaching takes you to places you haven't been before, and this was this cute little park right by the ferry dock.

Geocaching at Castlepark

Before Jordan and I left we decided to do a little geocaching. We went down to Christi and Frank's house and then Jordan changed his mind. So...Gramoom, Christi, Katie and I went anyway...we found one!!! Yay!!!!

It was a little windy and hard to write with a pencil on the damp paper....we managed.

2012

Wow! Who would have thought...2012. The year my son graduates from high school, and my baby, my BABY is going to be a FRESHMAN!

To start the New Year off, New Years Eve day mom, dad, Aimee, Robert, Christi and I all did the Last Chance Half Marathon in Bellingham. It was a really nice course along Chuckanut Drive and the weather was perfect! Unfortuantely, I got a doozie of a headache afterwards and was out of it all day long. Boy did my head hurt. It really sucked. So....I missed all the New Year's Eve festivities. I actually wasn't able to get out of bed until 11:30, so, while all my family was up celebrating and playing games at Aimee and Robert's house, I got a glass of water and watched the space needle fireworks on TV. Glad to have kicked that thing though. That is on my New Years Resolution list. I need to figure out why I am getting post workout headaches. It is NO FUN! Ugh. Anyhoo....then David and Anthony headed home and Jordan and I stayed and relaxed a few days. It was nice not having anything to do, though plenty waits for me at home. I got part of my Christmas decorations down, but I can't bear to take down my pretty tree yet, so I didn't. I will wait until tomorrow, then clean everything up to start off the New Year.

Here is to an absolutely awesome 2012! One with big changes for my family but I am excited to see where this road takes us!

Cheers!

Hesselgesser get together

We got together at Aunt Barb's house in Tacoma and visited and caught up with the Hesselgesser side of the family. Glad everyone was able to make it. Nice to catch up.
