Jordan is 18! No! No! No!

I filled his car up with balloons...

Wrote all over it, added a balloon at school...

As much as I want them to grow up.  No.  Just NO.

Homecoming parade

The beauty of small towns...the homecoming parade through town on tractors & trailers!

 Big rig

Each class does a float.  The theme was sci-fi and there is always one thing that each float has to have.  Some random thing.  One year it was a tire.  This year it was a picture of Nicolas Cage.  Ha!  It's a competition that the Senior class wins every year.

The senior float, with Nicolas Cage on the hanging ball.  They did an awesome job!

The Fanbulance, all set up for game watching on the inside, including a big screen TV!

 Close up of the float.

This is it at night, they don't give away all their secrets during the day time parade.  Ha!

Friends come to visit!

It was SO nice of Austin and Zach to come surprise Jordan at his football game.  Unfortunately the game was a blow out and Jordan injured his rotator cuff and was out from the half on, but the boys were such good sports.  Means a lot to have great friends like this!

Sunset

 Going....

 Going...

Gone!

The sunsets out at the bluff are just gorgeous, and if you look closely, you can see fisherman, who were actually catching quite large fish out there!

Amazing looking one direction, turn around and see the gorgeous view the other way!

The moon?   Seriously!?!  Pictures do not do it justice!

Sept 18 vs. Chimcacum

We walked across the ferry to watch J play Chimacum at Port Townsend.  I just love Port Townsend and I want to take the time to walk through it one day.  I had my big huge suitcase bringing back my summer clothes that I packed for the island and no longer need so I wasn't about to drag that through the stores.  But, it is on my list.  There were many street muscians playing and it was a pretty nice day.  No rain anyway.  It is so convenient to walk on the ferry and just walk to the field.  We play Port Townsend there next week.

J had a really good game.  He got the opportunity to play offense as well as defense and special teams.  He didn't come off the field much.  He had some good plays, had a 28 yard reception SO close to the end zone, but they ran out of time.  He got credit for 2 sacks.  He was sore, but in good spirits.

Walking through town

I met Aim in town during the football pre game dinner and we did a quick loop of town.  Never tire of this view either.

Bluff Trail

I never ever get tired of walking this bluff trail.  It was a nice day and after kayaking we decided to take the dogs out for a quick walk.  They were overheated very quickly and it was a very slow walk instead.  But....can't beat the views!

The dogs (Rufus especially) doesn't like the plants touching his ears and in some part of the trail, especially from the bluff in for a bit, it is overgrown (to discourage people from coming in) so they were carried.  And...Lulu was being her crazy self and was so out of breath and hot from pulling and acting a fool, she was carried too.
