Engagement work party

Our half time ELL teacher, Mark, who drives all the way from Lacey for his part time teaching job, is getting married the end of the month. We had him a party. They are funny people and so so nice. We hadn't met Joie, his fiancee, before so he brought her to work and she hung out for the day on Friday. I decorated our room so so tacky and they were touched. And going to Target to shop for them, I got their registry and they were just being silly and registered for such off the wall stuff!

Soooo....be careful for what you wish for!!! Or register for, in this case! They LOVED it!

Parmjit brought samosa's from a Punjab bakery and Mrs. Tam brought a lemon chiffon cake that was actually really light and scrumptious, and Cathie brought some sparkling cider and REAL glasses!!! Fancy, huh? It is unfortunate that you can't see all my craptastic decorations!!!

Mark serenaded Joie with a song (that she knew every single word to) that he wrote for her called Farting Out Rainbows.

They cut the cake. See the craptastic rose pedals on the white paper table cloth we got from the work room that is one those huge rolls? We are crafty like that!

Downing the the rest of the cider. Too bad you can't see the fun Easter carrots on the back of her white socks.
They were super touched and so nice and easy to get along with.
I wish them a lifetime of crazy happiness!
